| THE SEVEN ECUMENICAL COUNCILS
OF ANATOLIA |
They are regular meeting with bishops and other Church Heads
who deliberate on ecclesiastic matters. The ecumenical council
represents the Universal Church. Particular council(general,national
or provincial) discuss mailers concerning their respective territories.
Because of their needs to discuss common problems concerning
faith and discipline, the representatives of origins of the
church.
The ecumenical councils ( oikoumene = the inhabited earth) are
the highest authority in the Church Life. The seven big ecumenical
councils of the Antiquity, which we will detail hereafter, have
set the foundations of Christian Christology and are recognised
by both Catholicism and Orthodoxy.
*They all took place in Asia Minor,
*They were mostly ordered by the emperor who also set the agenda,
confirms and signs the taken decisions and turns them into imperial
laws
* Western representation is weak if not inexistence
*The principal subject of councils is the nature of christ
